RHS Horticultural Careers Promotion Officer

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is looking to recruit a Horticultural Careers Promotion Officer to join the Horticultural Engagement team.

Full time role – 37.5hrs per week, salary £32,000. Fixed contract for the duration of 3 years.

Based at RHS Bridgewater in Salford but with regular travel across the UK, the Horticultural Careers Promotion Officer will be responsible for

  • delivering the RHS’ inclusive national careers promotion programme focussed on building representation in horticulture from previously underrepresented groups
  • promoting horticultural careers at RHS events and larger careers events nationwide in order to grow the number and diversity of people taking up horticulture as a career choice
  • developing and maintaining horticultural careers information materials that showcase a wide variety of careers and diverse role profiles, Labour Market Information, and careers progression routes
  • supporting professional relationships and networks between under-represented groups and the horticultural sector through appropriate events and mentoring opportunities
