The new Senior Landscape Architect will be working on a wide range of UK and international landscape and garden design projects for the public realm and private clients. The candidate will have a degree and/or post-graduate qualification in Landscape Architecture or another relevant discipline. You will be chartered or well advanced in studying for the Pathway to Chartership.
They are looking for a talented and dynamic team player, highly organised and technically proficient. You should demonstrate design flair, attention to detail and originality of thought. You have excellent presentation skills and a proven ability to express ideas verbally and in both digital and hand drawn media. You should demonstrate good all-round skills at all work stages and will have experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and the confidence to communicate economically with clients and other consultants at a high level. You should be able to work under pressure and produce work of the highest standard to meet project requirements.
The candidate will have a demonstrable ability to work under their own initiative, with experience of team leadership and management of other design staff. An understanding of the demands of a busy design practice are essential including resource planning, fee and time management and workload prioritisation. You will be interested in encouraging and teaching younger members of the team in best practice and, if chartered, may have an interest in mentoring other team members in the Pathway to Chartership. A track record in the implementation of projects is on site is required, from inception to completion and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and VectorWorks Landmark.
