A collaboration born out of their shared belief that to cook with the best ingredients, you need to grow them – Raymond Blanc and the founders of She Grows Veg; Lucy Hutchings and Kate Cotterill, will be cooking together on their exhibit in the heart of the Great Pavilion.

She Grows Veg was set up in June 2023, with a mission to bring the very best heirloom seeds to the UK. Founded by Hutchings and Cotterill, both garden designers and passionate growers, the company has an impressive collection of 160 intriguing, unusual and beautiful seed varieties – with more promised for this year. The company’s seed ranges are exclusively heirloom and open pollinated, making their offering unique on the market.

A show case for their wider collaboration with the kitchen garden team at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, where the heirloom seed company will see the results of their vegetable seeds gracing Le Manoir’s menus. Hutchings and Cotterill will also be running a seed sowing course in The Raymond Blanc Gardening School in the autumn.

For the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the duo will be exhibiting their ‘Edimental’ heirloom vegetables. The exhibit will be brought to life with the help of contemporary florist, Hazel Gardiner and promises to be a beautiful, opulent and inspirational presentation featuring signature heirloom vegetables in a rainbow of colours – presented in a modern twist on Renaissance paintings. “We aim to show vegetables in a way they haven’t been seen before at a flower show before”, explained Hutchings and Cotterill.
