The RHS Urban Show (18 – 21 April 2024) is expected to be a departure from the traditional RHS show. Housed entirely indoors in the vast industrial space of the Mayfield Depot in Manchester, the show will focus on the growing movement of urban and city gardeners, and the increasing connection between horticulture, wellbeing and sustainable living.
Hosted by gardener, author and presenter, Michael Perry the speakers featuring at the show include:
- Hannah Reid, better known online as @gingergrows1 is an organic gardener and writer, who runs her own allotment in the North of England.
- Paul Maccabe, houseplant enthusiast, owner of an impressive collection of houseplants that featured on Gardeners’ World.
- Joe Bagley, known online as the Houseplant Doctor is the owner of ukhouseplants.com, created to teach people about houseplant care in a simplistic, standardised way.
- Tony Le-Britton, known as @notanotherjungle, is the author of ‘Not Another Jungle: Comprehensive Care for Extraordinary Houseplants’.
- Jen Howarth, @life_on_the_lot: No-Dig, organic flower farmer and allotmenteer.
- Gintare Sinkeviciute, known online as @ambersallotment is an allotment influencer based in Leeds, specialising in growing fruit and veg, seasonal eating and foraging.
- Sarah Hinchliffe, @north_and_flower is a studio based floral designer and flower farmer based in Cheshire.
- RHS Shows Biosecurity Specialist, Dario Spagnlio who has worked for over 14 years in ornamental horticulture, experienced in plant procurement, biosecurity management and project management.
