According to Great Dixter, the fields used to accommodate parking are completely waterlogged and they have therefore had little choice but to cancel.
“Apologies for late notice but we had hoped the weather would be kinder to us this week, instead we’ve had even more rain”, explained team Great Dixter.
Over 30 stalls of independent nurseries were to exhibit at the plant fair. The weather forecast for Rye reports further intermittent rain for the rest of the week, with very windy conditions and more isolated heavy showers expected for Saturday and Sunday.
