Taking place at the Birmingham NEC from June 13th to 16th, BBC Gardener’s Word Live promises a celebration of horticulture, innovative garden designs, and expert advice. The show is expecting 91,000 visitors which includes attendance at the co-located BBC Good Food Show.
Gardeners’ World Live highlights:
- Adam Frost returns to the show with his headline show garden, The Chef’s Table which features daily ‘plot-to-plate’ themed conversations and cooking demos with well-known chefs such as James Martin, Glynn Purnell and Michel Roux.
- The Association of Professional Landscapers’ Avenue of gardens showcasing a range of inspirational designs, while the ‘Beautiful Borders’ offer inspiration for small spaces and challenging places. The entries this year include:
- The Costa Cadiz garden: Designed by Anna Helps, the garden showcases the landscape of the province of Cadiz on the southern Atlantic coast of Spain.
- Lunatica: Designed by Joshua Fenton, this is a garden about water health and security within Britain in 2024, responding to the theme ‘a good life’ as clean healthy water is vital for all forms of life.
- Eco Oasis Garden: Designed by Dan Hartley, the garden aims to inspire visitors to embrace harmonious and sustainable practices while enjoying easy ‘Good Life’ living and making good choices.
- Notes from the Mediterranean: Designed by Katerina Kantalis and built by JG Landscaping which draws inspiration from the landscapes of Greece, Italy, and France.
- Monty Don, Adam Frost, Carol Klein, Frances Tophill and Joe Swift will be chatting with Nicki Chapman on the BBC Gardeners’ World Live Theatre sharing topical tips and advice.
- The Floral Marquee for all things plants which this year also features the International Orchid Show. Also in the Floral Marquee;
- Let’s Talk Plant stage, hosted by David Hurrion, featuring include talks with Monty Don, Adam Frost, Sue Kent and Charles Carr from Hillier Nurseries.
- The Talking Heads podcast hosts; Lucy Chamberlain and Saul Walker will be hosting Plant Expert workshops and advice desk
- ‘Hot Off The Potting Bench’ features all the new plants and varieties entered for the Peter Seabrook Award for Best New Plant at the show
- Wool-Pots Pot Swap and Sustainability Zone

- Chris Collins will be hosting the Get Growing Stage, featuring a daily programme of tips and growing advice from well-known grow-your-own experts
